The best way to become involved in motorsport without the expense of running a car is to help
out at events by marshalling. Every event needs a lot of people to assist, and you can get a
lot of fun and a lot of satisfaction by being part of the team. NWCC members can be found on
most of the events run in north Wales, and some beyond, and welcome additional help.
Marshalling can take many forms – timekeeping, stage marshal, spectator marshal, road rally
control marshal, trials section marshal and a multitude of other jobs. People are also
required to assist in the setting up and tearing down of events, such as preparing the forests
for a stage rally or taking in the equipment after an event. All good ways of being involved!
This page will give details of events where we have been asked to assist, or detail our own
events where assistance is required.
The Motor Sports Association holds a register
of Marshals and there are various training schemes, to obtain your marshalling licence,
organised around the UK to cover all aspects of marshalling.
